Techknowledgy Rocks was developed in 2018 by an Assistive Technology Specialist, Angela Rinaldi. Angela has been working in the Assistive Technology field for the past 30 years. Starting with AAC communication devices and designing switches for communication, she has since worked in many school districts providing AAC and AT services to hundreds of individuals. She has a expertise in the business is a cut above the rest. Angela started in the field designing a switch 30 years ago for an individual who was hit by a drunk driver. She used her electronic skills, taught to her by her dad, Angelo, and designed a switch which gave this person the ability to speak again. That very same switch ran his electric wheelchair as well and eventually he was able to run his entire environment. All of this through this customized switch. Since then, she has designed dozens of switches for individuals of all abilities. Angela has a never say never attitude and it reflects on the individuals she works with. Her passion for her job is evident in the work that she does. Her ability to provide technology to help individuals improve in reading, writing, mathematics, executive functioning skills and communication skills has proved highly successful results. Angela has an M.ED in Technology Education and an M.ED in Special Education which is the perfect combination to be able to serve her clients.

Assistive technology can be a great equalizer, helping to level the academic playing field. The right technology tools can reduce the impact of learning barriers, leverage a student's strengths, or provide an alternative means to accomplish a task. And AT can provide greater self-confidence - an "I can" attitude - and thus improve self esteem and social life.
With the right supportive services AT users can benefit from the full potential of their assistive technology and perhaps achieve their own full potential as a result.
All evaluations, consultations, webinars and trainings are virtual.

AAC Evaluations: Hourly $175.00 Includes student/Individual, guardian and staff training and implementation plan and AT Updates for three years annually at no cost. Average for this eval is up to 10 hours.
